Description
Four Year Old Hazelnut Tree – Inoculated with Black Perigord Truffle.
Our truffle-inoculated tree seedlings are a specialty product designed for experienced gardeners and truffle enthusiasts seeking to establish their own truffle orchards. These carefully selected host tree species, such as oak or hazelnut, have been expertly inoculated with the mycelia of premium truffle varieties, with our highly prized Périgord black truffle (The latin name as referred to in the field of mycilium for this fungi, is Tuber melanosporum)
By planting these inoculated 4 year old trees in well-draining, calcareous soil and providing proper care and maintenance, you can cultivate your own truffle-producing trees. However, it’s important to note that truffle cultivation is a long-term investment, requiring patience and dedication. Truffle production typically begins 4-7 years after planting, with yields increasing as the trees mature. This tree is already 4 years old, however propogation after planting can take a from 5-8 years for the mycilium to be able to spread and take full effect to produce Black Périgord truffles within the base and the roots of the truffle inoculated Hazelnut tree.
Our truffle-inoculated trees offer an opportunity for those passionate about gourmet fungi and willing to invest time and effort into nurturing these valuable culinary delicacies. They’re great for farmers wanting to expand a new highly profitable crop, mycilium enthusiasts, home owners who can plant the tree in their yard, and hobby farm enthusiasts.
Embark on the exciting journey of truffle cultivation by ordering our premium inoculated tree seedlings, and take the first step toward establishing your own truffle orchard.
