The Lagotto Romagnolo is a rare, ancient breed that is hypoallergenic and non-shedding. These dogs have a well known history as Italy’s prized water retrievers, dating back to at least the 16th century. Their curly coats were well-suited to retrieving waterfowl in the wetlands of Emilia-Romagna. Over the centuries, Lagotto Romagnolos were gradually refined into the versatile companions they are today.
