How to Grow Truffles with Truffle Hydrogel from The Truffle Farm

Step 1: Gather Your Supplies

• Truffle hydrogel from The Truffle Farm – the Truffle Spores are already inside within the ingredients
• Young tree, sapling or even mature trees (Garry oak, hazelnut, or other compatible species)
• Shovel or trowel

Step 2: Prepare the Hydrogel

Follow the instructions in the infographic diagram above.

Step 4: Plant Your Tree If You Have Not Already

For seedlings:

• Carefully remove the plant from its container and expose the roots.
• Apply the spore-infused hydrogel directly to the roots.
• Plant the inoculated seedling in well-draining soil.

For established trees:

• Create small holes or trenches around the tree’s drip line.
• Inject or pour the spore-infused hydrogel into these holes and cover them with soil.

Step 4: Water and Monitor

Water the inoculated plants well and keep the soil moist. Truffle fungi need well-draining soil and moderate moisture to thrive.

Step 5: Be Patient

Truffle production takes several years. Monitor your plants for signs of truffle growth.

Tips:

• Choose a compatible truffle species for your tree.
• Maintain proper soil conditions (pH, moisture, temperature).
• Be patient and consistent with watering.
